Our galaxy is so large that, if traveling at the speed of light, it would take 100,000 years to cross it and it's not the only galaxy in the universe. The vastness of the universe causes many people to wonder, is anybody else out there?

The Vatican asked the same question in a recent five-day summit on the possibility of alien life.

Chris Impey attended the summit and spoke to T.J. Holmes on CNN's American Morning Friday.

I watched the story about the militia,I totally agree that our civil rights and liberties are being impeded upon.I live in a fairly small rural area, and even around here, the cops beat the hell out of you first, and dont care to ask questions later. The court room is the same. Our country sold us out,I'm sure it's just a matter of time before the chinese gov. & the Arabians could care less how our people live, they just want to make thier money here.Soon,I fear, our standard of living will start to lower more and more,as those foriegn govs want more and more and care less and less.I feel the puppet masters put a coloured man with a muslem backround in as president,to cause seperation and unrest amoungst its own people,so the can get away with more, and we'll be to invovled with this president to notice.Personaly I'd welcome a revolution, but this country is'nt ours to fight for anymore.Bush Sr.sold us out to BinLaden.Go militia,go. P.S my civil rights have been agregiously violated,by the local authorities, and my lawyers in on it to,but I cant afford a new one,can you please help me?

Isn't it ironic that the militia person interviewed said that he feared President Obama when it was the militia who were exercising with guns (semi-automatic) and camouflage suits? Perhaps it is not President Obama one should fear.

These people (militia) truly live in the past. There is no more need for a militia – there is also no more need for "the right to bear arms". This is not the 18th century!!
Some people in this country are so paranoid, gun-crazy and poorly educated. Unfortunatly these guys always make the news. So sad.

Wingnuts of the week

What's a Wingnut? Someone on the far-right wing or far-left wing of American politics. In a polarized two-party system, they have disproportionate influence and too often define the terms of debate. With "Wingnuts of the Week," commentator John Avlon tries to take that power back.
