Pvt. Joseph Foster is one of dozens wounded in the deadly shooting at Fort Hood last week. He was shot in the hip trying to save those around him, but he survived and says he's still ready for deployment to Afghanistan in January.

If someone enlisted is involved and seriously a practicing their Muslim religion then honestly sending or forcing them to a land of other Muslims is seriously a mistake, this guy was an officer and regardless a PHd, and advisor and yet we fail to understand that the Muslim religion for many will not and cannot allow them to go to the center of the roots and kill other Muslims.

If it's not bad enough sending them to turn against their own religion but to send them as US armies, one doubles the hate for them and the whole point of being their.

Regardless of Muslim Americans and what in their hearts believe is a good thing they go and come back only to find they have been left to deal with this on their own it's about we need them for translation, we are short on troops...then what they come home feel alien or shoot up people.

We are seriously a nation in trouble as if our being their isn't terror enough and we are their to protect their freedoms? How much of a double standard is that?

Hello AM Fix,

The Playlist music is loud. If people want to listen to rock music they would tune in to rock music stations. We want the news so we come to CNN. Please rethink about your music.

Thank you.

If a person can't function as a SOLDIER in the military then DON'T enlist!

And don't ask the military to keep those who will not function as a Soldier & the oath they vowed to America when they enlisted!

That's just as stupid as asking Bill Gates to hire a programmer who won't write codes but he loves the computer so don't fire him because they can use him to do presentations showing how much fun you can have with a computer .... until he gets to the part about "writing codes" !

Merriam-Webster Dictionary – Soldier
1 a : one engaged in military service and especially in the army b : an enlisted man or woman c : a skilled warrior

This is the Military Oath the 13 victims that were killed in Ft Hood vowed to America:

I ..... "Michael Cahill, Libardo Caraveo, Justin M. DeCrow, John Gaffaney, Frederick Greene, Jason Hunt, Amy Krueger, Aaron Nemelka, Michael Pearson, Russell Seager, Francheska Velez, Juanita Warman, Kham Xiong".... do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

This is the Oath they got in return:

I... "The President of the United States, Senators, Congress, The Speaker, Supreme Court Judges, The State Department, FBI, CIA, Homeland Security, United States Military".....do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Hate Crimes Bill of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of .... The ACLU, The Council on American-Islamic Relations, The American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee, The United Nations and the orders of Liberal & Global Organizations that are appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Political Correctness. So help me any god but the Christian-Judeo God.

"Political Correctness" can cause death!

Wingnuts of the week

What's a Wingnut? Someone on the far-right wing or far-left wing of American politics. In a polarized two-party system, they have disproportionate influence and too often define the terms of debate. With "Wingnuts of the Week," commentator John Avlon tries to take that power back.
