Documentary chronicles Obama's campaign

They started following an up-and-coming senator named... Barack Obama. Then he ran for president.

And it was an incredible case of being in the right place – at the right time – for a group of filmmakers who ended up being eyewitnesses to history.

HBO will debut their documentary tonight – at 9 p.m. ET. Our Alina Cho got a sneak peek.

I personally am so tired of seeing the President on TV....

American Morning was funny today.
The last time I saw so many forced smiles was on Fox the morning after Obama's victory.
It never ceases to amaze me how transparently "attached" the so-called "detached journalistts" are out there.
I've thoroughly watched every program on CNN, FOX and MSNBC
and find that only Van Susteran (who comes by it naturally) and Cooper (who works hardest to achieve it) come close to passing the the Tim Russert Test.
Brown is new and has potential if she follows the Cooper mode in trying to overcome instinctual bias.
Dobbs, O'Reilly and Mathews are all old hands at convincing themselves they are even-handed.
Hannity, Olberman, Beck and Maddow are venomously biased and borderline hate-mongers.
Possibly the biggest fraud is Blitzer who clearly take himself far more serious than his patently "unbalanced" show deserves.
The good news is the three aforementioned channels certainly provide the American Public something for everyone.
Best regards.

Sorry..., I forgat Rick Sanchez.
Throw him in with Brown..., a work in progress who would do well to emulate Cooper and Van Susteran but will probably end up this side of Hannity.

Obama used to say "Yes we can". Now he just dictates "yes you will". Boy he really gave us change, but it is change that sickens me. I wasted my vote.

Wingnuts of the week

What's a Wingnut? Someone on the far-right wing or far-left wing of American politics. In a polarized two-party system, they have disproportionate influence and too often define the terms of debate. With "Wingnuts of the Week," commentator John Avlon tries to take that power back.
