What about what was accomplished on the Job that cost $250,000 to create. That has to be worth something. Not only the work, but the pride of having a job and taking care of the family. I'm sure not all of the jobs are just temporary. I think Obama is doing a great job, with what he was given to work with from the last administration.

i believe it is time to pull all the troups from Iraq and Afganistan It is a lost cause. We don't owe anything to those countries let them kill themselves if they like.We should concentrate on rebuilding our country to greatness.We have to repair our internal problems before we can think about external ones. It does not matter which party or group you belong to just as long as you stop bickering and start rebuilding our nation. Whats important is what is Good for the people of this country and not what is profitable.When someone wakes up and realizes that our people are whats important and not our resources then we will be on the right road to fixing our country.Give the power to change this country back to the people and not to the entities.We must work together not as oposing foes.We must do whatever it takes to ensure our future in this great country working together as one nation not political oposing parties.Otherwise our nation shall truly crumble.Think we not them or those we are all the great people of this nation and should start acting like we are lets build this nation into greatness once again. it is what we need to do as a nation come on people work together not as a divided group. It is the only path to greatness lets celebrate the path to greatness and work together as one think one and we all win lets do it just us. We the people of this great nation do hereby pledge to wok together an heal this nation for all time so say we all let it be written.I sincerly believe their is hope for this country and we have to work on making it real always we and us remember us stands for the United States so lets work us as a team and get it done just us your friend always Roland Ortega

It's time to pull out All our troops in these third world countries.
It's obvious they do not want us to reform them into a democratic society.
We need to pay more attention here in America.

He hit the nail on the head!

Stop the war in Afghanistan (Vietnam II) now. Like Vietnam, one cannot hope to win the war by simply winning a number of battles, yet at the same time, fail to secure the area where these various battles take place. We won WWII by winning the various battles as well as maintaining the land where they took place. Another issue that no one has yet to consider is the situation that exists with the beucratic mess known as the Veterans Administration. This department is a total shame as far as caring for the nation's veterans. I have been waiting for over a year to obtain benifits that I am entitled to as a Vietnam Vet, but it seems that no one cares. I have writen twice to Senator MaKulsky for assistance, but the only help that I get is another letter from the VA that I have to be patient and wait my turn. The problem with this salution is that the government has failed to take of even its WWII vets. I know of one WWII vet who waited five years to collect his benifits. The VA finally decided to give him his disability benifits, but he died before he collected a dime. With the on set of the Gulf War during the 1st bush administration, not only did it delay the process for WWII & Korean War vets of getting their claims approved, it put Vietnam vets further behind. In the end, what has occured since then to the present day, those vets who suffer for their country in Afghanistan end up at the bottom of the line. In conclusion, as a vet I feel that my government has let me down and if I knew in 1972 that this would happen to me maybe I would have taken the same route that our previous president took when he joined the Air National Guard in an attempt to avoid going to Vietnam.

We don't need to wandering around in all these countries, that obviously do NOT want us there. Thos countries have been at war with each other for centuries. Let them fight it out for theirselves. Bring our troops home.

Tues-12:28PM: Listened to Matthew Hoh 2 days ago on NPR on ESPN (can't recall exactly) who had just resigned from his US diplomatic post in Wazirastan, He stated that the US army hasn't a chance in Afghanistan & surrounding "stans" owing to the many disparaging elements on the ground in the region – many, many tribes, each operating according to their own interests as they have done for a century or more, the fact that civil war prevails in the area and the fact that the general population is unwilling or unable to cooperate with the US, Others might say this young man wants out of the region. I think he has sacrificed his job to tell us what he knows to be true-news correspondents/reps do not have the "inside" info he was privy to. I can't understand why his name & action hasn't been noted on your news programs or in printed news material (of course I have limited exposure to to the latter venues)-perhaps you might shed some light on this information. Thank you.
