Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright speaks to CNN's Carol Costello about North Korea's rocket launch.

It's been three days since North Korea ignored the demands of the U.S. and its allies with a rocket launch.

The UN Security Council still has no official response, even after two days of closed-door meetings. We've also learned that a commercial satellite, owned by digital globe, apparently captured images of Sunday's launch.

Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright joined us live.

Watch

What do you think? What actions should the UN Security Council take in response to North Korea's rocket launch?

We should take out the regime before it sells it's missiles and warheads to terrorists! Look we took out Saddam a cruel dictator on the belief he had weapons of mass destruction and we know that Kim HAS weapons of mass destruction and developing ways to deliver them and we go to the UN security council which has no teeth when you have communist nations like Russia and China allowing N Korea to continue it's nuclear proliferation! NATO should put him to rest!

I cant believe carol costello didnt ask her ONE question about "the toast". Mrs Albright toasted Kim Jong IL on national TV after they sign an "Agreement". As it turned out, the North Koreans had their fingers crossed behind their back when they signed it and continued to pursue nuclear weapons.

Mrs Albright was at the head of this agreement that the north koreans reniged on. What level of responsibility does SHE and CLINTON share.

IMHO, it is pretty dangerous for the US to publicly state that we have the right to shoot down any other country's space launch. Let's face it, whether it is really true or not, publicly this was North Korea's first attempt at a space launch. Remember, many of the US's first launches didn't go all that well either.

If the US, or any other country like Japan, even attempted to shoot down North Korea's launch, it would set a VERY DANGEROUS persistent that dong such, is internationally OK. That could certainly lead to other countries doing the same thing, except their targets will be US's own space launches, even maned ones. Do we really want to start that?

albright says the north korean leader wants respect? someone should remind her that respect must be earned. she's just another U.S. politician who relishes pandering to the insane! how's that for arrogance...

Wingnuts of the week

What's a Wingnut? Someone on the far-right wing or far-left wing of American politics. In a polarized two-party system, they have disproportionate influence and too often define the terms of debate. With "Wingnuts of the Week," commentator John Avlon tries to take that power back.
